5-0 for BOSTON's Brand New BIG 3

Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, & Paul Pierce

It's been two decades since the Celtics
last began an NBA season with 5 straight victories;

that was way back in 1987 (!),
when Boston still had their original Big Three,
arguably the greatest frontline in NBA history:

Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parish,
the backbone of a team that won 3 crowns in the '80s,
quarterbacked by Dennis Johnson and Danny Ainge.

Their battles with Magic & Kareem's L.A. Lakers were EPIC.

The past twenty years, however,
have been anything but kind to the 16-time Champions;

last season,
they suffered through the longest losing streak
in team history.

But I'm sure that this year,
Beantown's unofficial #1 cheerleader,
Boston Rob,

the veteran of two Survivors and two Amazing Races,
must be starting to believe that 2007-08
just may be Boston's Best Year:

the Red Sox recently won their 2nd World Series in 4 years;

and with
Kevin Garnett averaging 24pts. & 16 rbs.,
Paul Pierce with 22pts, 4rbs., and 4ast.,
and Ray Allen scoring 21pts. a game,

the Luck of the Leprechaun
just may bring the Celtics back to the NBA Finals!!!
