Darth Vader: Your DESTINY lies with me Skycable. Obi-Wan knew this to be true.

Star Wars geekery aside,
I've been ranting about this Dark Side
of "Look, Skycable..." since September last year.

I finally called DESTINY cable
at 2pm yesterday,
Jan.2, Wednesday;

less than 24 hours later,
by 10:30am today, Jan.3,
everything was properly installed.

I paid just P1,500.00
to cover the 1st 3 months of my subscription;
no more additional fees
for a silly cable converter digital box
or other installation charges.

So, it's only P500/month
to get all the Solar Channels,
including Basketball TV and Jack TV!

And my favorites:
Discovery, Discovery Travel and Living,
Fox News, Animal Planet, etc., etc.;

additional TVs with all these channels,
will cost just P50 each.

The only downside?
No StarWorld and StarMovies.

In contrast,
the treacherous SkyCable,
to which I've been loyal to for a decade,

already costs me P680 for the (tarnished) Silver Package,
plus P304 (P152 each for two extension TVs):
a grand total of P984.00/month.

(and I was charged around P2,000+
for the pretty, but pretty useless "Digital" Cable Boxes just last November)

NOW,
if I decide to get the so-called "Platinum Pack" upgrade
that the SkyCable idiots are so enthusiastically promoting,
(25+ additional channels including
Discovery Travel & Living and Discovery Channel~
which are FREE on Destiny),

I'll first have to upgrade to SkyCable GOLD,
which is P870/month, for the basic subscription;

then the P304/month for the two extra TVs.
then P350 for the "Metro Pack" (the Discovery channels),
and another P350 if I want the "HBO Pack" as well.

do the math:
P870 skycable gold + P304 extra TVs + P700 platinum pack =
P1,874 Monthly Total for SkycablePlatinum...

HAYUP!!!

and here's the kicker:

ONLY
my the first "main" TV will be under PLATINUM programming.
the other 2 extensions will remain in Basic Gold....

AND
if I want the other TVs at my house
to have this overpriced Platinum Pack,

EACH
of the other two extensions
will have to be considered as MAIN TVs,

THEREFORE,
if I were to have Sky Platinum for each of the TVs at home,
that will cost more than P1,500 per TV...

or a total of P4,500/month.

HOLD-UP ITO!!!
REACH FOR THE SKY...

BECAUSE SKY'S THE LIMIT...

ng babayaran mo!!!

Some idiots are paying for this so-called
"platinum privilege",
believe me.

and be a certified Skysucker,

your part of MegaManila is already covered

you know you can connect the other tvs yourself without paying. of course it's illegal but... haha. it's not exactly like stealing cable from other people since your paying for it.
