The King of KOOL...
Krispy Kreme Ice Cream Store
in the World:
The Hizon Clan is very proud of
and very excited for Ninong Raffy,
whose KK store on Tacoma in Seattle, Wa.
was chosen as the pilot outlet for Kool Kreme.
(check out its' Kool new logo!)
Before KK opened in the Philippines last Christmas,
he used to bring us Balikbayan Boxes
filled to the brim with Krispy Kremes;
now, we have to figure out how to send Kool Kreme
to Pampanga in time for our New Year's Eve mega-party!
Here's my nephew RJ studying the Kool Kreme logistics:
More about the World Premiere of Kool Kreme!
It’s a stand-alone brand established by ICON LLC of Seattle.
Gerard Centioli, ICON CEO, expects to roll out
Kool Kreme to his other 11 Western KK stores in 2008.
There’s also a chance that other Krispies
around the world may take to the idea.
The kicker is the toppings for the sundaes
and ingredients for the shakes.
Think fresh raspberries - in December.
Fresh blackberries, fresh strawberries.
Along with the berries,
there’s hot fudge, caramel and butterscotch,
plus various syrups and other fruits including pineapple.
The jimmies are there, plus selected smashed bits of candy bars –
Snickers, Butterfinger, Heath and Junior Mints.
Two-topping sundaes go for $2.59, cones for $1.79,
shakes for $2.49 and $2.89, and floats for $1.89.
There’s also a “Frenzee,” similar to a DQ Blizzard.
