Fifty Eight Innocent Persons Massacred
without mercy by Evil Incarnate.
Many of those involved in the planning
and the execution, literally and
figuratively, have yet to be
apprehended.
Meanwhile...
one of the country's highest-profile lawyers
(who incidentally also represents
former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo)
is now fighting for justice (!) for the Ampatuans;
in an interview published yesterday,
he complained that he was receiving quite
a few death threats, and that
his family is now affected,
etc., etc., etc.
Well,
Boo fucking Hoo....
forgive me if I don't shed tears for your plight,
compañero;
I would rather sympathize with, and pray for
the families of the poor souls your client
brutally slaughtered in Maguindanao.

Kudos to your blog! keep it coming. As to this evil encarnate, he should have foreseen the circumstances prior to his acceptance of the case. Like SEn.Miriam says "eat bullets for breakfast!"

if not him, someone else would have taken their case. lawyers should not have biases when accepting a case. if they did, they would have to inhibit themselves from it.
and everyone has a right to a defense and their day in court.
just playing devil's advocate.
The Ampatuans "day in court" is tad too long. Justice delayed is justice denied.
I'm an old testament guy
when it comes to
swift and merciless justice
for obviously guilty
and remorseless criminals.
Fortun et al
are just getting rich off
the Ampatuan's blood money.
All his other justifications
and protestations of
due process are nothing
but white noise to me.
