60 Hours of Celebrating CORY

Like tens of thousands of Pinoys all over the world,

I found that the best outlet for consoling my grief about
the passing on of President Corazon Aquino was the internet;

Twitter and Facebook, Plurks and Blogs,
everything online lessened the sadness,

and gave us all the perfect venue for our Celebration of Cory!

HOMECOMING along AYALA:

Back in 1983-86,
we called it UGARTE FIELD,

and whenever she called,
we came running.

Today, for one last time,
we did so again for CORY.

via Twitter Mon 12:51pm
KRIS AQUINO has finally come into her own
as Ninoy's Daughter, after Cory's Passing.

via Twitter Mon 12:44pm
KRIS just made two grown men cry,
and along with Jim Paredes and Ted Failon,
MILLIONS more.

Mon at 12:35pm via Facebook

CORY's Exquisite Timing :

she reaches AYALA at lunchbreak
so everyone can join her homecoming!

via Twitter Mon 12:30pm
EVERYONE watching this on TV will want
to be there for CORY on WEDNESDAY.

via Twitter Mon 12:19pm
"MAGKAISA" playing on loudspeakers along AYALA.
Everyone flashing the LABAN sign. Goosebumps.

via Twitter Mon 11:58am
Jim Paredes :
CORY is telling us today that EDSA is Unfinished Business

via Twitter Mon 11:20am
EDSA is turning YELLOW for CORY

The Definition of OXYMORON:

> a figure of speech by which a locution produces
an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect,
as in “cruel kindness” or “to make haste slowly.”

The only real tribute that our Congress
can give to honor Cory is to retract HR 1109
and all other Con-Ass or Cha-Cha initiatives.

But then again, we don't expect that from

MORONS!!!

JESSICA "twisted" ZAFRA on CORY AQUINO

"She was a lady, a rarity in this day and age
and especially in this political system.

She tried.

In mourning for Tita Cory
we’re really mourning for ourselves and what could’ve been."

From JessicaRulesTheUniverse.com:
TITA CORY

What's Most Surprising? ERAP as a true STATESMAN.

More so than Fidel V. Ramos
or that giddy Obama fan in the U.S.A.,

the only living Philippine President that has
truly exuded dignity and class in paying tribute
to Cory Aquino is the man that she herself, through
her lasting influence, helped remove from office in 2001.

ERAP on CORY:
"The Most Loved Philippine President"

From the Philippine Daily Inquirer:
KRIS THANKS ERAP FOR REACHING OUT

Malacañang's SELFISH SELF-SERVING STATEMENT
about Cory's State Funeral:

"DAMNED IF YOU DO,
DAMNED IF YOU DON'T..."

"Nasabihan kasi kami na ganoon daw kasi ang sitwasyon nila:
Kung hindi mag-offer, parang masama;
kung mag-offer at tumanggi kami, masama pa rin.

"I'm sorry pero at that moment I said:

'HINDI KO PROBLEMA ANG PROBLEMA NIYO'
Ang problema ko lang ang Mommy ko."

KRIS:
NINOY'S DAUGHTER!

JOJO BINAY reflects on CORY AQUINO

Say what you will about the Mayor of Makati,
but the man has always been consistent,
the mayor has never pussyfooted.

A "Lito Atienza", Binay is Not.

Without Binay's Makati,
there would have
been no venue
for the anti-
GMA rallies.

Thanks Mayor!

DANDING's Funeral Wreath for his COUSIN:

there were hundreds spread all over
La Salle Greenhills by early morning, but
somehow, this one stood out, not because
of its size and beauty, but more for its history.

I'll never forget Cory's Civil Disobedience Rally,
where she boldly told all Pinoys to boycott SMB...
(and anything from Danding!)

only Cory could make me stop drinking my beloved

PALE PILSEN!!!

Lying in State, In Repose as In Life, CORY IS BEAUTIFUL.

A very organized, very respectful, very hushed, very prayerful wake;
exactly what our President Cory would have wanted.

In the hours past midnight, the line still stretched
from the gymnasium to the gates by Ortigas.

Sat at 7:02pm via Facebook

I'm lining up with them tonight...

Public Viewing at La Salle Greenhills:

Saturday 5pm to Sunday 4am
Sunday 7am to Monday 4am

Sat at 12:37pm via Facebook

CORY is EVERYTHING that GMA is NOT.

There just may be two funerals this Wednesday:

One, a farewell to a great Filipino
who will live in our hearts Forever,

the other, a Political Funeral for
a President we'd rather Forget.

Exactly the same thing happened
during NINOY'S Funeral in 1983.
