GMA-7 is desperately trying to murder
the #1 Reality Show on Earth, SURVIVOR.
(by turning it into a somnambulistic telenovela of showbiz wannabes)

And now, that irritating network that's made a habit
of unabashedly aping every programming move of ABS-CBN,
is trying to get into the international Game Show game
so successfully accomplished by the Kapamilyas
with Kris Aquino's DEAL OR NO DEAL.



And don't look now,
the TV Station with absolutely no imagination
is about to butcher one of the best game shows ever,

FAMILY FEUD!!!



ABC-5 actually had a short-lived version a few years ago;
and that was pretty good, as Ogie Alcasid did a fair
approximation of the hosting flair of Richard Dawson,
perhaps the most charming game show host ever.


So charming, in fact, that he made a living out of kissing
every single woman who was a contestant on the Family Feud.
Single or married, young or old, gorgeous or fugly,
they all received a loud smack on the lips from Mr. Dawson.


Ogie did well because, unlike his crash & burn in Pinoy Idol,
he was an engaging, smart, sympathetic, and witty host in FF,
(although no one really wanted to kiss Ogi da Pogi except Regine. Bleagh.)
exactly the qualities that endeared Richard Dawson to generations.
