The CHILL List
It's been quite a week;
most of the time,
I was stressed out and dismayed
about the Teehankee Travesty.
But it's Sunday after all;
time to relax a bit,
after praying for Divine Punishment
for the powers-that-be.
It wasn't all bad vibes though;
here are the Top 7 cool things
that turned me on these past 7 days:
THE CHILL LIST!
1. Red Ribbon's S'MORES Cake
"Layer after layer of moist chocolate chiffon cake,
made more heavenly with layers of soft marshmallow
and crunchy crushed grahams, rich caramel, and
wrapped in the goodness of whipped chocolate."
I'm convinced. Aren't you?
2. The IRON MAN DiBiDi
This is the reason why DVDs were invented:
to give the home viewer the crystal-clear video &
eardrum-smashing sound of a Summer Movie Blockbuster!!!
And Tony Stark has made the transition from
widescreen theaters to not-so-small screen TVs perfectly.
I can't think of a better way to invest P30.00!
3. The Johnnie Walker Black Label GOLD Bottle
$65.00 would be a very reasonable price
to commemorate a century of my favorite scotch.
This limited edition features the "Striding Man"
embossed in 23karat gold on the high gloss black bottle.
Cheers!
4. PLURK is the New Chat!
Okay, I'll admit it. I'm now addicted to this.
It's chat revolutionized and reloaded;
It's microblogging in real-time.
It's exhibitionism and voyeurism in one.
It's got instant karma and silly creatures.
It's www.PLURK.com!!!
5. The MARTIAL LAW BABIES Graphic Novel
A comic book, *ahem* excuse me, a "graphic novel"
about my generation: those of us who once thought
that Ferdinand Edralin Marcos would rule forever.
That is, until one man dressed in white came home
on an August morning a quarter of a century ago.
This is our story.
6. Wendy's BACONATOR!!!
Clogging up arteries across America since 2007,
"six strips of hickory smoked bacon piled high
atop two 1/4 lb. patties of fresh, never frozen, beef.
Complete with two slices of American cheese,
mayo and ketchup for a mountain of mouth-watering taste."
I'm obsessing.
7. Uno Magazine's GUAPA Covergirl
Ellen Adarna's developed a cult following in the interwebs
over the past few years. Her Friendster pictures are among
the most grabbed and used as profile pictures by "fakers".
Filipinos and Filipinas alike have lurid dreams about her.
To make us all happy, the Southern Lass from Cebu
finally disrobes for all the Philippines to see...
and for a brief moment, we are once again one as a nation.

a home-made version this weekend;
