RESIKLO means RECYCLED

Isn't anyone at the MTRCB or the OMB aware that
Plagiarism is Intellectual PIRACY?

It's bad enough that the MetroManila Crapfest
is shoved down our collective throats
every Christmas Day,

but when Pinoy movie producers force us to swallow
regurgitated crap like RESIKLO a.k.a. Transformers,
DESPERADA, a.k.a. Desperate Housewives,

or give us utterly predictable sequels like
SHAKE RATTLE & ROLL 9 (!)
the Pinoy version of the endless Friday the 13th series,

Vic Sotto recycling Dolphy's penchant for
30-years-younger leading ladies in ENTENG KABISOTE 4 (!),

BAHAY KUBO,
"Mano Po" recycled without the eyeliner
that makes Tisoys look like Chinoys,

SAKAL SAKALI SAKLOLO,
a recycled "Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo",

a recycled Joseph Estrada, Sen. Jinggoy
in Katas ni Erap, errr, KATAS NG SAUDI,

and Manny Pacquiao trying to recycle
another career from his boxing success,
acting very much like a wooden statue
as some sort of NPA rebel in the woods,
who gets a "woodie" when he sees Ara Mina,
in the recycled-ly titled ANAK NG KUMANDER...

ANAK NG RESIKLO!!!

Buti na lang maraming dibidi sa QUIAPO!!!

ms pacifica (i presume you're a legit lady), i get what he's trying to say. trying something about it? why not do something original, new, or revolutionary since they already have the funds to finance those films they came up with. these types of movies are actually the reason why majority of filipino movie-goers don't go to theaters anymore. you will never catch me watch any of those flicks. not because they are pinoy-made, but because it's sickening to know that the movie is nothing more than a money-making machine, not an expression of art. just my opinion, these movies are so shallow it makes some people a lot more stupid after they watch it. what can we do? well for one, whine of course. that's the whole point of criticizing a film right? if the movie was any good, why give bad rev to it? i appreciate pinoy made films, specially indie films since this i believe is currently the real avenue for fine filipino made movies. those being shown in movie theaters 98% of the time are recycled crap.

i still wonder why bong revilla manages to come up with a movie like that! I don't have to watch it because there was a time when I patronized this Manila Film fest just for the heck of it. I felt sooo stupid and robbed of my rights of quality movies! AND that's a fact! Now, does anyone know where i can purchase indie movies?

pacifica,

i am doing something. i'm complaining and boycotting stoooopid movies that insult the intelligence of the filipino moviegoer.

please feel free to post your reviews of the movies in this corner. peace ",)

lapuk and nutart,

GMA and her minions are now merrily banning thought-provoking indie films from being shown. several michael moore-type docus have beeen given the X rating by the MTRCB.

instead, they prefer to feed this pablum pap to us, trying their best to keep the filipinos "entertained" with movies squarely targeted to the Barney minds of 3-year olds.

happy christmas, everyone!
