FRESHLY BREWED SMB at the Dusit Hotel

Once upon a time,
there was a microbrewery at the Dusit Hotel
called the Paulaner Brauhaus.

It didn't last for too long,
disappearing just like The Brewery did in Glorietta.
The former San Miguel microbrewery beside TGIFriday's
is now ironically a gym for people who hate carbs.

And I thought that with that went the last fount
of Freshly-Brewed Beer in Manila.

Apparently,
the best thing that could have happened, did.
FIESTA SAN MIGUEL!!!

SMB took over the facilities of Paulaner,
and started serving fresh-off-the-taps
Pale Pilsen,
San Mig Light,
Cerveza Negra,
and a couple of flavored beers,
Caramel & Raspberry!

the fresh beers aren't cheap,
but believe me,
these prices are worth it:
0.3l : P130.00
0.5l : P180.00
1.0l : P280.00

Just like Nick Joaquin and FPJ,
my best friends are all Pale Pilsen loyalists;
it's our Elixir of Youth.

Fresh SMB Pale Pilsen is almost sweetish.
No bitter aftertaste, and surprisingly light.
It's truly the best way of drinking the best beer in the world!

Fiesta San Miguel Happy Hour Promos:

"BOTTOMS UP AT 3"
> analogous to a "short-time" stay at a motel,
you can go alone, but it's so much more fun with a friend:
all the freshly brewed beer you can drink
for 3 hours, anytime between 5pm-9pm!

"HIGH FIVE AT 5"
> analogous to a full-blown orgy at a motel,
with a minimum 5 participants for maximum debauchery:
all the freshly brewed beer you can drink,
+ free pulutan,
for 3 hours, anytime between 5pm-9pm!

Sabado Nights would be the best time to go,
as these gorgeous singers perform 3 sets,
singing anything from Heart's "These Dreams",
The Calling's "Wherever You Will Go",
and since it is after all a Fiesta,
any OPM song you would like to request.

What more can I say?
I've found my new favorite bar!!!
