FEAR FACTOR FOOD in Dinalupihan, Bataan

Snakes, Lizards, and Bats!

If you're brave enough,
and if you think that goats and frogs
are but simple everyday dishes,

this is the exotic restaurant for you.

It's simply called "Barrio Kambingan",
and it's quite easy to find if you're on the way to Subic:

it's around 250 meters on the right side
of the Olongapo-Gapan Highway,
after you make the right turn at the Dinalupihan interchange
(where the Death March monument is).

I love the sinigang;
it's actually a Sinampalukang Kambing,
perfect when paired with the crispy fried Adobong Kambing
for a true Baaaa Buffet!!!

As an added bonus,
according to my adventurous Cousin Larry,
the day-shift waitresses morph into nightshift GROs after dusk.

Quite an interesting concept,
since exotic foods are supposed to be aphrodisiacs.
This really is the place to visit if you would want to
satisfy your appetite for both kinds of Bataan "wildlife".

But don't worry, be happy:
Barrio Kambingan is a family-friendly restaurant during the day.
(there even is a Razon's Halo Halo branch across the street,
to wash off the gamey aftertaste of the delicacies)

Family Friendly, that is....
if you're so inclined to feed your kids some frogs!
