TROPICAL HUT : still one of Manila's Best BURGERS!!!

During the Dark Ages,
before Jollibee, before McDonald's,
before Burger Machine, before Wendy's,
before Brothers, Hotshots, & Burger Avenue,
there was only one burger chain:
Tropical Hut
I guess the owners earned so much money
during the EDSA Revolution, they retired
and stopped their nationwide expansion.
Too bad,
because their absurdly tasty burgers
are still among the best in MetroManila,
perfectly spiced for the Pinoy's tastebuds,
(JB's "langhap sarap" recipe was based on the TH's)
their classic line-up has stood the test of time,
and although you have to make an extra effort
to find a Tropical Hut in the Metro,
burgers like the Rancho Ranchero truly make it worth your while!!!

true.. their patties are thick and juicy (unlike other fastfood)! i love their ranchero burger too!!
also love the spaghetti, clubhouse sandwich and fries!

luv ko din tropical kc official lunch ko yung burger nila four sundays na nag-bar ako. feeling ko lucky charm ko ang tropical q. ave....
yun nga lang.... sana they can keep their burgers from shrinking... last time i ordered one sa sm san lazaro, halos kalahati na lang siya nung cardboard na bumabalot pabilog ng burger (the thing they use so that the burger wont get deformed... ata)
but then again everything's kinda shrinking.... just bought lumpia kanina sa globe quiapo.... 16 php pa rin.... maliit nga lang.... mga pie-pies.... nag-shrink hanggang siguro they had to coin the term pocket pie pa.... tsk tsk....
yes it is! and their fried chicken is really big (well, last time i went there, it was)! :)

True, their number of stores have shrunk. Buti na lang talaga there's one very near our place. 24 hours pa! Imagine Tropical Hut hamburgers on a whim... :-)
They're still the best... and sadly I can only get a taste of it when I visit Manila, once a year.
