Non-Stop on the LOVE BUS!!!

Introducing,
the VICTORY LINER DELUXE BUS!!!

"Save Gas, Take Bus",
was the slogan jauntily painted on those blue Love Buses
that were omnipresent in MetroManila back in the '80s.

"Save Gas, Save Cash, Take Bus",
is my new motto now that I have to go up to Baguio
at least once a month for business.

Do the Math:

Your Car: P2,100.oo +++
Gasoline, P1500 minimum
Toll, P300 round trip
Snacks, P300 (Starbucks at NLEX, Pancake House at Luisita Mall)

Restroom stops : as often as required

Stress, caused by tricycles in Tarlac and Pangasinan:
Priceless.

Victory Bus: P1,200.oo Round Trip
Gasoline, Toll, Snacks : all included in the price of the ticket

Restroom stops : none; there's a very clean one on the bus

Stewardess, present from Cubao to Baguio and back:
Priceless!

The cabin looks like that of an Airbus A300,
actually.

It's Business Class all the way,
extra-spacious seats that recline to a full 45 degrees,
and each comes complete with a swiveling footrest.

Bottle holder and front seat pocket?
Check!

Personal controls for your A/C vent,
call button, and overhead reading light...

Roomy overhead bins for handcarried
strawberries, flowers, and other pasalubong?
Of course!

And the kicker?

Drop-down flat screen monitors
for DVDs of really cool movies;

Spider-Man 3 and Mr. & Mrs. Smith
played back-to-back on my trip home.

But if you'd rather look at the view,
the extra-large seamless picture windows
will let you enjoy scenes like this:

The late-night red-eyes to the romantic City of Pines
take around 4.5 hours,

and daytime trips back to the harsh reality of Cubao,
approximately 5.5 hours.

Either way,
Very Very Very Highly Recommended!!!
