The BEST BASKETBALL Game of the Year
Let's put this into perspective:
The Dallas Mavericks (52-11)
and the Phoenix Suns (50-14)
are the Top Two teams in the NBA this year.
The last time a couple of teams
with records this good met at this late stage
of an NBA season was way back in 1972,
when Wilt, Jerry, and Gail led the Lakers
to a statement win over Kareem and his Bucks.
Dirk Nowitzki (30pts, 16rbs, 6ast)
and the former Canadian Robin to his German Batman,
Steve Nash (32pts, 8rbs, 16ast)
proved that they are the Top Two MVP candidates of 2007.
Who's the real MVP?
Which is the Best Team in the League?
Two Overtime Periods
were needed to settle the issue
in a game that looked and felt like Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
Steve Nash
had 10pts in the last 60seconds of regulation,
including the three-pointer that forced the first OT.
Along the way,
he ensured that comebacking teammate Amare Stoudemire
reached a season-high 41pts.
Nash, the defending Two-Time MVP,
sealed the win in the 2nd OT
with a pas-de-deux that forced a turnover,
and poetically,
grabbed the final rebound of the game,
off a miss by his best friend and toughest rival Nowitzki,
a shot that could have sent the game into a 3rd Overtime.
Little Stevie proved that he's the best player in the NBA,
and without a doubt,
the best Point Guard since MAGIC JOHNSON.

Yes, I do agree! Best basketball game of the year!! Steve Nash for MVP and nobody in this year's league can read the floor better than a true point guard like Steve Nash.
Have you forgotten about the triple OT game between the Nets and the Suns? That was best NBA game I've watched in the last 5 years.
hi stevie!
the Nets and the Suns was excellent basketball,
but it didn't have the gravitas of the top two NBA teams facing each other for possible seeding,
and of course,
best buds Nash vs Dirk ",
