Better Than THE CODE?
so far, so good.
1/3 of the way into this book,
and no sign of the hero getting romantically involved
with his partner, the female protagonist
who just happens to be :
1. beautiful, but damaged & hurting
2. a world-class scientist/intelligence officer
3. prone to falling in love very quickly with geeks
in other words,
Dan Brown's gnostic/suspense novel cliches
have so far been avoided.
*whew!*
True,
the protagonist is male and his partner, female;
but their relationship
is more Daniel Craig/Judi Dench
than Tom Hanks/Audrey Tatou.
The Knights Templar.
Ancient Catholic Treasures.
Rennes-le-Chateau in Southern France.
Murderous Priests.
Themes from Holy Blood, Holy Grail.
This book may seem like a Da Vinci knock-off,
but it reads more like a parallel backstory
to the events in that humongous bestseller.
A prequel, if you will.
And The Big Secret, this time around,
has something to do with....
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
