How can you go wrong with at least 5 Happy Endings?
(NO, not THAT kind of Happy Ending!)

start with almost all the best English actors of this generation,
add a sprinkling of American hotties,
ensure that the film doesn't get too syrupy,
but make sure you satisfy everyone's longing for some sweetness,

and you have a perfect film to hug your sweetie by this X'Mas.

FOR YOU AND YOUR FOLKS:

Any group of individuals, no matter how closely related,
is still made up of different personalities.

As such,
families sometimes experience conflicts and pain,
even during Christmas.

But ultimately,
resolution and redemption is brought about
by the sheer joy and love of being together as a family,
specially during Christmas!

This movie paints a perfect picture of our imperfect families.
It's an American film, but with a Pinoy heart:

I always prepare a DVD for the kids to enjoy
during our traditional December 25 Dinner in Oroquieta;

while the adults drink themselves silly,
I make sure that the kinds intoxicate themselves with silly giggles.

the film that catapulted him to Superstar Status,
is the Action Movie for the Yuletide Season!

It's the classic Love Story:
Cop meets Wife,
Cop loses Wife to the Corporate World,
Cop blows up building and kills terrorists by the dozen
to get Wife back!!

It's the classic Christmas Story:
a Santa Claus figure in the form of
a rotund donut-loving policeman,

an evil Scrooge with a posh British accent
who terrorizes an X'Mas Party,

an Elf-like limousine chauffeur working in the basement,

"Let It Snow" playing
as the credits roll at the end of the movie,

and you've got your unlikely adrenaline-pumping December 25 DVD,
with the most murderous/joyous X'Mas greeting ever:

"Yippee kay-aye m*th*rf*ck*r!!"
