BAREFOOT IN THE PARK

Two nights ago, Gringo Honasan

reprised his '86 EDSA Action Hero role:

this time,

instead of parachuting with a cobra around his neck,

he frantically jumped out of a 2nd floor condo unit

in the exclusive Green Meadows subdivision,

and frolicked barefoot until he stumbled, tripped,

and fell..

... flat on his face.

Literally, and figuratively.

It's a good thing that he wasn't wearing

what apparently was his primary disguise

during his most recent "low profile" period:

a "Bumbay" complete with turban (!).

Our policemen could have mistaken him

for a tech-support call center agent.

Maybe Gringo became addicted to foot spas,

and this former Martial Law tough guy,

(who previously lost an index finger during a previous escape attempt)

managed to cut his tender feet quite deeply,

and is now chilling out at the

posh Asian Hospital in Alabang.

The comedian of TV & the Senate,

known by his too-cutesy nickname "TitoSen",

has a hilarious new knee-slapper,

as reported in www.philstar.com :

"This developed as former senator Vicente Sotto
said that despite Honasan’s arrest,
the fugitive politician will still run for a Senate seat next year.

Sotto said he will help Honasan in his senatorial bid
even if he campaigns behind bars.

"In case he is not allowed (to post bail and get temporary liberty)
to file his certificate of candidacy,
I will simply file it for him because you may file
your certificate either personally
or through a person with a special power of attorney".
